Raelyn's musical journey began with piano at age 6. The harp was introduced to her as a secondary instrument at the School of the Arts in Milwaukee, WI at age 11. Raelyn fell in love with the harp and went on to complete her BA degree in Harp Performance at San Jose State University.

Other areas of study included music composition, piano, recording, and jazz.  Raelyn performed as a professional accompanist since age 14 for soloists, choirs, and ballet classes. She has also won several awards including awards from Billboard Songwriting competition, Great American Song Contest, the National Association of Jazz Educators, and the Donald Mohr Foundation (Milwaukee Choristers Foundation).

Raelyn has 25 + years of professional harp performance experience which she continues today in Portland, OR. She has played for numerous parties, weddings, and special events. Orchestra/choir groups Raelyn has performed with include: the Monterey Symphony, Nova Vista Symphony, Don Haneke Chorale, San Jose State Choraliers, Palo Alto Chamber Orchestra, San Jose Youth Orchestra, Milwaukee Youth Orchestra, and the Winchester Orchestra. In San Jose, CA she was the regular harpist at Gervais and Pastas restaurants.

Recording projects include: Eastern Sunz "Birds Eye Coup", Rohne "Light Forms", Rachel Teixeira "Volts", Jon Garcia's movies "The Falls" and "The Falls-Testament of Love", Echo Us- "II:XII, A Priori Memoriae", Echo Us [2013 Independent Music Awards (Eclectic- popular vote) winner and 2012 Top Ten New Age album of the year in New Age Music World] "Tomorrow Will Tell the Story", Echo Us "The Tide Decides", Folkrum "Some Antics", Poeina Suddarth "Happy Whore", Bazza "I Dream of Beavers", Wax Fingers “Flood”, Jon Garcia "The Lake", and Raelyn Olson "Archipelago".

Raelyn enjoys playing various styles of music on both concert and lever harps. She continues to perform freelance harp and write her own compositions in the Portland area.
